Hi friends,

We, Swarajya Trekkers have arranged a trek to Sudhagad on 8th December 2012(Camping trek 2 days one night) starting on 8th Morning.

Type: Hill Fort
Height: 2030 Feet above MSL (Approx)
Grade: Easy
Base Village: Thakurwad

Pali, one out of the eight “Ashtavinayak” Ganesh Temples is also the place where Sarasgad is located. Lord Ganesh of Pali is named ‘Ballaleshwar’ and located just behind the temple can be seen the ramparts of Sarasgad fort. The fort was mainly used to keep a check on the surrounding regions. From the fort, Pali and all surrounding areas can be seen. Shivaji Maharaj brought this fort under Swarajya and spent 2000 Hon (the prevailing currency) for its reconstruction. Till independence this fort was under Bhor Sansthan. We can locate Sudhagad, Tailbaila, Dhangad and Korigad.

The itinerary for this Trek is as given below:
TREK START DATE - 08/12/2012
We start by train from Diva jn.
09:00 Take the Roha passenger train.
11:45 Reach Nogothane.
12:00 Take ST bus to Pali
13:00 Reach Pali.
Lunch – in Pali village
14:00 Move to Thakurwadi
14:30 Reach base village
14:45 Trek starts
17:00 Reach the TOP.

^9th November 2012.

08:30  morning breakfast.

09:30  Exploration, Site seeing, lunch

11:30 Start Descend

2:30 Reach base village Pali

4:00 Move to Mumbai

List of things required:

1. Haversack 

2. Water Bottle 2 / 3 Liters.

3. A good torch and extra batteries.

4. Camera (Optional), Personal medicines.

5. Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry (at own risk)

6. Electoral or Enerzyl Powder or Glucon D powder some snacks & biscuits

7. Good trekking shoes, Extra Pair of Clothes, Plastic bag to keep clothes dry,one plate ,spoon.
