Hi friends,

We, Swarajya Trekkers have arranged a trek to Kothligad on 23rd June 2013  (One  Day trek ) starting on 23rd Morning from Borivali (E) Stn.

Little About The Fort
Type: Hill Fort
Height: 1550 Feet
Grade: Easy
Base Village: Ambivali

Region : Karjat

This small fort (~1500ft.) is situated to the east of Karjat & is one of the famous treks of Karjat area, because of its small height .
It has a large cave, good enough for a night stay. Another interesting feature is the pinnacle which is carved from inside, made into a staircase to reach at the top. It is also called the Fort of Peth because of its vicinity to Peth village at its base.

The cave and the carved pinnacle is worth seeing.From the top of the pinnacle look out for Bhimashankar towards north, Dhak Bahiri & Rajmachi towards south-west.

Note - Meeting point at Borivali (E) stn (Ticket counter)  TIME - 5:00am

The itinerary for this Trek is as given below:
TREK START DATE - 23/05/2013 Morning 5:00 am We start by Private bus from Borivali.

List of things required:

1. Haversack 

2. Water Bottle 2 / 3 Liters.

3. A good torch and extra batteries.

4. Camera (Optional), Personal medicines.

5. Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry (at own risk)

6. Electoral or Enerzyl Powder or Glucon D powder some snacks & biscuits

7. Good trekking shoes, Extra Pair of Clothes, Plastic bag to keep clothes dry

 

Important Note:

The Cost of the trek would be Rs. 400/- per head.
